Overview
The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area covers the forested range northwest of the Las Vegas Valley, rising from desert foothills to peaks above 11,000 feet. It offers trails, campgrounds, picnic areas and scenic drives in Kyle Canyon, Lee Canyon and the surrounding high country, and its elevation makes it dramatically cooler than the valley floor.
Why Visit

Seasonal Information
Access varies sharply by season. Snow and ice close some roads and trails in winter, while summer is the peak season for camping and hiking. Always check current road and fire conditions before setting out.
