The Strip & Resort Corridor, Clark County

Resort Corridor, Las Vegas

The hotels, arenas and hospitality employment zone around the Strip

The Resort Corridor is the wider hospitality zone around the Strip, stretching from the convention center area south past the airport and west along the interstate to include the arena district and the major resort properties. It is the operational heart of the Las Vegas economy, covering the casinos, hotels, arenas, stadiums and supporting facilities that employ the region.

History & Local Character

The resort corridor grew outward from the Strip as demand for hotel rooms, convention space and entertainment venues expanded. Landmark additions over the decades include the Las Vegas Convention Center expansion to the north, T-Mobile Arena west of the Strip, Allegiant Stadium west of I-15, and the Sphere east of the Strip, all of which extended the hospitality footprint well beyond Las Vegas Boulevard itself.

Neighborhoods & Communities

The corridor spans parts of the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester and runs along the interstate between the Strip and the neighborhoods of Spring Valley and Enterprise, including the arena and stadium district on its western edge.

Housing & Real Estate

The corridor is commercial and has little housing of its own, other than high-rise condominiums and apartment towers immediately adjacent to the Strip and the arena district. Most of the hospitality workforce lives in the surrounding unincorporated areas and the broader valley.

Restaurants & Shopping

Dining is dominated by resort restaurants, celebrity-chef venues, food halls and bars attached to hotels and arenas, supported by a large late-night and grab-and-go market serving shift workers and event crowds.

Schools & Education

The corridor has no schools of its own. It sits within the unincorporated towns served by the Clark County School District, and UNLV's campus lies immediately east of the Strip.

Parks & Recreation

Public open space in the corridor is limited to landscaped resort grounds and plaza areas. Sunset Park, the Clark County Wetlands Park and the Springs Preserve are the nearest large public parks.

Transportation & Accessibility

The corridor is served by the Las Vegas Monorail along the Strip's east side, RTC Transit's frequent Strip and arterial routes, and direct access to I-15, I-215 and Harry Reid International Airport. Rideshare drop-offs and structured parking serve the arena and stadium venues.

Local Businesses

Businesses include resort and gaming operators, hotel and restaurant groups, event and production companies, arena and stadium concessions, convention services, and the extensive network of local suppliers, contractors and staffing companies supporting them.
