Resort Corridor Development Continues to Reshape the Las Vegas Strip

Real Estate & DevelopmentOctober 2026

LAS VEGAS, NV — The Las Vegas resort corridor has been reshaped over the last several years by a series of large resort, entertainment and arena projects, extending hospitality development well beyond Las Vegas Boulevard into the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester.

Resort Development

The corridor's newest large resorts include Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened in 2021 on the north Strip, and Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened in December 2023 on the same stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard. Both projects added hotel towers, conference space, restaurants and entertainment venues to the northern end of the resort corridor, an area that had seen comparatively little new resort development for years.

In the southwest valley, Durango Casino & Resort opened in December 2023, giving the growing residential communities around Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway a full resort and dining destination closer to home.

Entertainment and Arena Venues

The Sphere, which opened in September 2023 east of the Strip, added a large purpose-built entertainment venue to the Convention Center District and has since hosted concert residencies and other programming. T-Mobile Arena west of the Strip and Allegiant Stadium west of I-15 continue to anchor the arena and stadium district, drawing event traffic and supporting surrounding restaurant, hotel and service businesses.

Convention and Business Travel

The Las Vegas Convention Center's West Hall expansion and its underground transit loop have kept the convention district competitive for large trade shows, an important segment for the region's hotels, restaurants and suppliers. Convention and business travel cycles directly influence hiring and construction in the corridor.

Effect on Surrounding Areas

The corridor's growth has ripple effects across Clark County. Hospitality employment supports businesses throughout the unincorporated towns of Paradise, Winchester and Spring Valley, while construction of new resort, arena and entertainment projects sustains trades and suppliers across the valley.
